Default Pocket mac hangs on reading data

Please Login to Remove!

I made a mistake and updated to pocketmac 4 (3 worked fine)- my 8100c syncs fine through ical, address book, etc until it gets to the end and trys to sync data (what data is it trying to load?)
The log is:
[01:33:40.193] Synchronizing iCal with BlackBerry Calendar
[01:33:40.199] Reading data...
[01:33:48.185] Synchronizing iCal with BlackBerry Calendar
[01:33:48.188] Comparing data...
[01:34:02.306] Synchronizing data...
[01:34:09.549] All finished.
[01:34:13.767] 7 changes/new records.
[01:34:14.084] Tasks sync disabled in preferences
[01:34:14.085] Bookmark sync disabled in preferences
[01:34:14.086] Notes sync disabled in preferences
[01:34:14.086] Synchronizing email
[01:34:24.818] Error retrieving data; sync cancelled.

At this point the connection to the backberry terminates and the software on the mac just hangs and never completes (or cancels)

I have done a sync clean and restarted with the same problem.

Any ideas?

Default same here.

I got one first sync, then tried it a few days later to do an update sync. I get the spinning beach ball forever then I have to cancel.

Addresses seems to be okay As well as iCal, (save one or two appointment that didn't make it from either the BB or the Mac), but I would like the piece of mind that it was getting through the full sync process and completing. I am not trying for notes and tasks, so I'm not sure what "data" its choking on.

Wish I could help but I seem to be in the same boat. I put in a tech support ticket with Pocketmac. Haven't heard back yet.

Hopefully they will have the answer, I'm gonna send them My logs.

Was a solution ever found to this issue? I'm having the same problem, suddenly.

No solution.

I gave up on PM4.0 after spending hours installing, uninstalling, and trying different settings to sync a 8100 with a MBPro. PM 4.0 sync'd a couple times albeit with alot of jumbled information (phone number in wrong fields, some missing information, duplicate contacts for all those with the ampersign, duplicated calendar entries, and omitted other calendar entries). The couple "successful" syncs created alot of problems with contacts and calendar that took a couple hours to fix.

The previous version of PM (3.6) was usable with my BB7100 with some issues (but did not support the 8100). In my experience, PM 4.0 with a 8100 has proven to be buggy software with virtually no testing by PM or RIM. If you try PM 4.0, MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR CONTACTS AND CALENDAR BEFORE USE.

I feel better after accepting the fact that PM 4.0 does not work. Users can choose the 8100 and Mac products based on their independent virtues just does expect sych with AddressBook, Calendar, or Entourage with PM 4.0.
