Arrow can't synch Contacts?

Please Login to Remove!

hello guys, I tried today to copy a colleague's Outlook contacts (we're under BES) to her BB (8310).

no way! see the following img (ok, I can't post one as long as I don't reach 10 posts )

Ok. It says something like (it's in Italian) "synch not available for Contacts because apps are configured for wireless synch (...)"

I could not find a way to make it work!! How do I disable wireless synch for Outlook Contacts?

Ah, forgot to say. Using Desktop Manager 4.7 (but it wouldn't work with older versions as well)

Thanks a lot for your help!

If your colleague is on a BES then their contacts ought to be syncing wirelessly. There shouldn't be a need to perform a wired sync at all.

thing is, the wireless synch seems to not work fine, I'll explain

* contact A on the bb and Outlook
* she updates A on Outlook
* A won't be synch'ed..it'll stay old on the BB

so I thought forcing a wired synch (cable) could do the trick.
do you have any idea of what I could try?

thanks a lot.

What is the mail server? Exchange, Lotus?

Changes made on the desktop side can take some time to push down to the device... (think hours) and potentially longer. Changes made on the device will usually push up to the server quickly. Are you guys giving this thing enough time?

If you wish to disable wireless sync to see what you can do with a hard wired sync, go into contacts on the BlackBerry, then menu, options. Select the desktop address book on the next screen, and on the screen after that you can disable wireless sync.
