I am using 4.6.1.199 now. I tried 4.6.1.250 same problem find (but it work fine for few days after upgrade). Also I find that there have vibrate problem after version 199. So I back to 199 :S
Sorry, can't help. I have been using a Curve 8900 for testing and never had any problems with the camera. I would take it back to the store if that is where you got it, and they can figure out the update stuff for you.
My wife has an 8900 and has the same problem. I actually love the phone but had always thought something was wrong with it. When she takes a picture there is a multi-second (around 3-5 seconds I think) delay between when you push the button and the camera actually clicks. Very annoying when trying to take a picture of people, etc. It is fine for still photography, but to be honest that is not what most cameras are used for.
Do any of you think this problem coincides with the freezing of the phone after a picture is taken? She finds the only way she can get it unfroze is do a battery pull.
same problem, and i JUST did a complete handheld wipe, and installed the newest version: 4.6.1.231. i called t-mobile and they were QUICK to offer a replacement phone, but i'm concerned that the replacement phone will have the same problem... come ON blackberry!!
