Hi - just joined the forum. We're in the process of getting the BES software. In the meantime, I loaded the client software on a PC w/Outlook.

My device syncs Calendar, Tasks, Address and Contacts. There's no sync of Outlook e-mail (like my Ipaq Windows Mobile). Do I only get e-mail when the BES is installed?

I re-instlled the client to select 'Redirect messages using the Desktop Redirector', but it still doesn't seem to work.

Well, I found out the the BES actually pushes the E-mail to my Blackberry. I thought it could be synched in the cradle like my IPaq.

Now if I could only get the Blackberry to Send e-mail without the infamous red-x permission problem - DOH!

I use BES and BIS. With the redirector I have to make sure my email application is open or no "re-direction." BIS works just as well for me. Welcome to the Forums!
