Default 7520: bluetooth passkey?

Please Login to Remove!

What is the default bluetooth passkey for a 7520? And how do you change it?

Tried to pair my 7520 with another phone to see what can be done (it has the serial command profile). But can't figure out what the passkey is, or how to modify it.

It's the code of the device you are pairing to. It is hardcoded. I have only seen one device which was not 0000.

Usually when you initiate a pairing on another device (that isn't a GPS or headset) the other device will prompt you for the passcode you entered on the first device.

OK, Thanks. That just seems to be a waste to set a passcode that is the same for most devices and not be able to change it, Why waste my time having to enter it if it is not a security feature, but a nuisance. .

The passcode may not be a waste. The BB allows u to make a headset a trusted device so u won't have to accept the connection between the 2 devices each time u want to use them together. Trusted devices connect automatically.

Its like knowing where a party is jumpin off at and everybody know the location and password. But at the door u know who u invited and who u didn't. Those listed as trusted get in and the others don't. <==== IMHO

PS: With the BB you don't get bothered when trusted devices try to connect.
