Problems with wallpaper after theme change

Hi, anytime I change my theme off the default one, if I change the wallpaper image it causes massive problems. Looks fine until u start to scroll through the menu, image doesnt stay static and distorts as u go through menu. Have tried battery pull after the theme change but it makes no difference, anyone else had this problem?
