Hi everyone, when I put my phone in vibration mode it still rings. I believe there's another location in the menu where I must of chose to overide this option. Can you guys please guide me to where I can reactivate the vibration option. thanks

You have to go in to the "edit profiles" menu and edit the "Vibration" profile. Turn sounds off and make sure it is set to vibration. If this is your 1st BB, download the manual and read up on how to edit profiles. Are you sure you are actually in the "Vibration" profile?

Are you sure that your phone's vibrating motor is good. Does your phone have vibration now after taking stevew Advice?

Test out the vibration to make sure it works. Go to Options, Status, and type TEST (you won't see it on screen). One of the test modules will test the vibration.

Hi and thanks to stevew. It was in the profile option....funny how even though it was set to vibrate it still rang. I'm new to bb so I guess I still have things to learn. Thanks again to all that replied and happy holidays while we're at it.

Keep in mind, that specific contact notifications can override Profile settings, especially in BB6. Again this is an FYI to the solution already provided.
