Is it possible to receive and view a fax on the 8700g bb? If not do anybody know a third party app that will allow this?

I don't think an app will really be sufficient. You may need to check into a fax->email/email->fax service.

You can sign up for free efax.com account. You can send them an email and ask them to change to .tif format, which can then be viewed on BB.

faxdigits.com is free fax for your bb.....all faxes come in pdf...and open great on my 8700g....best thing i have.......
