Hello,

I'm using:

O.S. 4.6.1.206
BBM v. 5.0.0.57

I'm experiencing a glitch/error/problem described in this thread:

Basically, the text box where I type goes blank and freezes up and I can still type but I cannot see any of my text as I'm typing it... I can still enter text and post it to the chat, but not see what I'm typing or any errors I'm making. The only way to fix it has been to close out my conversations.... While this was annoying I was just dealing with it but now that I've joined a BBM Group, it has occurred with the group chat and there is NO WAY to remedy the problem for the group chat. Clearing the chat doesn't work, neither does rebooting my phone.

I've reinstalled BBM 5 2x times now, done a battery pull... Nothing works...

Is my only course of action to try and upgrade to OS. 5.whatever???

I can't find anyone else having this problem with BBM and I Don't know if it's tied to my phone or my OS or what but it's getting frustrating...

I had this issue too when I was using my 8900. Haven't used it since Nov of last year (when I upgraded to the 9700.).

I too had the t-mobile version, and noticed it happened with the Original OS and when I upgraded to tmo's 231. One thing I noticed was this normally starts to happen when I have 2 or more conversations up, so I made it a habit of closing out chats when they reach two or more.

I only have experience with official OS from T-Mobile. My suggestion is trying updating your software, there are plenty of versions available.

I do recall I experienced this issue with both t-mobile OS versions, .231 and whatever the original was (.114 i think?).

I forget what the exact setting is but I was able to stop this issue on mine when I changed BBM to stop saving entire message, there is a setting in the options to clear oldest entry in a chat or something like that but since I upgraded to 5.x this option doesn't show and the problem has disappeared

Thanks for the replies guess I'll have to bite the bullet and upgrade to OS 5.0 later this week.
