Thumbs down New Tour pouch

Please Login to Remove!

Personally, I don't like the new case that came with the Tour. I don't like belt clips and I don't like the open sides with the elastic bands and I don't like the flap over tops. I was very happy with the pouch that came with my Pearl and my Curve. Seeing that they weren't even going to be making this kind for the Tour, I went for their "new" version of the pouch for the Tour. It FINALLY came out a few weeks ago (three months after the device was released!) and I ordered it...just to find that it doesn't even fit the Tour! About 1/8 of the phone sticks out of the top of the case COMPLETELY uncovered. What good is that? To add insult to injury, I had to jump through circus hoops over several days :to get an India call center to refund my money.

There is a company that makes some slip cases I looked at the other day that covered the whole device but I can't remember the name of the company. They were awesome! I will search my browser history and post back if I find it.

EDIT: I found the company. It's called Sena. They make an Ultra Slim Pouch but it's pricey ($30). It covers the whole phone though.

I like the fact that it sticks out a little. I can leave my headphones plugged in and still stick it in the pouch.

I ordered the clip from Seidio. I was scepticle at first but honestly I love it. It looks the device in place, its very light weight and sleek. Nice rubberized material on the inside with a velvet face to protect the phone. It is so much less bulky than the leather holsters out there. Thats what I love about it.

I have a case from Case Logic that was only $14.95 and fits great. I use it instead of the one sent with the Tour.

I'm waiting on a case from Fortte. I always liked the slip-in sleeves that came with some BlackBerrys. I've been using a belt clip pouch for now, just carrying it around mostly, until my Fortte case arrives.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I appreciate it! I like the Sena - but does it have a magnet in it so that the BB knows it's in a holster and locks up?

I had a similar dilema. Just wanted a simple pouch. Ordered the Tour case, hate the way the top sticks out (so much for trying to protect the camera lense). Anyway, I ended up using the Nutshell pouch that I had for my Storm (duh, should have tried that first). Its a perfect fit, magnet works, they make a quality product. Can be ordered with or without the top flap, belt loops or clip, etc. Nice people too.
