Default Blackberry Tour Insurance Options

I am on the verizon network and have already used up my 2 asurion insurance claims in the past year on my old phone. I looked online for possible 3rd party insurance providers but i cant seem to find one that covers lost/theft. Is any one else experiencing this problem or have any insight on what to do? I really dont want to be walking around with a $400 phone that has no insurance...

Have you tried taking better care of your stuff? That works too. I have never had insurance on a phone and never needed it. Get a case. Get an ottorbox, everyone says those protect it very well.

well when your 21 years old and your living with roommates, having parties in your house and being on a college campus having insurance on a $400 phone is a wise investment

Thanks for the otterbox suggestion, already have one...doesnt stop a theft though

Touche. Yeah guess in your situation with people you don't necessarily trust all the time insurance is a must.

ha, has no one here ever damaged a phone, come on people i was asking a simple question. I simply wanted to know if theres an alternative to asurion that someone is using and has feedback to give.

Well Asurion covers most if not all of the insurance offered by US based carriers, chances are no one has ever used a different company. I googled for you (thank me later) and found this in just a minute of searching...

Lookie here

A bit insensitive. We forgive you.

I have used the insurance and I have also bought through ebay to preserve the insurance

Perhaps you need to consider a less expensive phone until you are in a situation where you can properly protect it. Sorry, but it actually sounds like you are somewhat careless. Most people don't lose/have stolen two or more phones per year. Even most 21 year olds.

Actually, I've never lost even one in approximately 15 years of having a cell phone.

(Yes, I know it sounds harsh. But even when I was 21, I wasn't in the habit of losing things. Especially since I had to pay for them myself.)

im sure youd like to know i paid for the phone for myself, why do you think i want insurance? Ha

As for the insurance claims one was used for water damage because i was shoved into a pool and the second one was because my phone was malfunctioning and verizon wouldnt replace it w/o me doing an insurance claim.

Thanks for your input!
