Default problems with curve 8300 on TMO

Please Login to Remove!

I am new to the blackberry community and have a problem with my curve 8300 (AT&T branded, unlocked) on my T Mobile USA network: I have a lot of dropped calls, even while having four or five bars. I had this happen with an unlocked curve I bought off of ebay and some people on this forum suggested that it was a hardware problem, so I went ahead and bought another curve, this one from a local AT&T store and unlocked it myself and I still have the same problem. What is happening is the phone says it is still connected, but the volume goes mute where I don't hear anything, but the other people on the other line tell me they can still hear me. So I guess I am not dropping the call, but I just intermittently can't hear what the other people are saying (phone is muted) and then they come back! Also, I use a GPS via bluetooth and on both phones, that only works intermittently! What is happening? Are both Curves having a hardware problem? Is it the software? I used to us a treo 680 and never had these problems or dropped calls before! It is very frustrating and happens 4 to 5 times daily. The longer I speak on the phone, the more likely it is going to mute on me! Any advise would be appriated, since I love the deivice otherwise and don't want to switch back to Palm.
Thanks,

Segeln4me (Daniel)

I wonder if it is an OS version issue. I had similar problems with the initial AT&T 4.2 release on my 8700 on the TMO network. I had to revert. But then I heard that everything was fixed when TMO finally released a 4.2 OS version. Just a thought.
