Default OS 8310: 4.5.0.152/4.5.0.110 (English + Multilanguage)

Please Login to Remove!

Software For BlackBerry® Curve (TM) 8310 smartphone
From AT&T, this will load to any carrier's 8310 model by following the instructions below.

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.152 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.5.0.152
Consisting of:

* Applications: 4.5.0.110
* Software Platform: 2.7.0.90
* File name: 8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel152_PL2.7.0.90_A4.5.0.110_AT&T.e xe
* File size: 89.91MB

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

Download HERE

Instructions for installing on ANY carrier's 8310:

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

For the previous OS, see this link: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

I would yes. This OS is from your carrier, and they support it. Any problems they'll help whereas with another carriers OS they could give you some grief.

BTW - Silly question, since I am on AT&T, I do not have to delete the vendor.xml file right? I assume it does not matter if I do, just wondering.

hey guys... quick question. i've been waiting to download the AT&T version, and now i'm wondering if anything happens to our BIS site once we download os 4.5? i thought i had read here that we needed to re-enter our e-mail accounts through BIS once we upgraded to 4.5, and wanted to make sure to copy down all of my filters before if needed.

thanks!

Nope, the handheld upgrade does nothing to your BIS account.

ATT has been on BIS 2.5 since Julyish of this year. It's there.

Now, it is waiting on you to upgrade your handheld to OS 4.5 to complete the HTML requirements.

Default Already tried once and received a "Fatal Error"

I've already downloaded and tried to load this once -- received a Fatal Error and am in the process of "removing" the 4.5 now from the laptop. Once I do that I will attempt a fresh install and see if I encounter again. I have a straight setup and BES server -- should have had no issues at all and have been waiting and waiting for this -- so of COURSE I had an error --- lol.... and of course on a Friday afternoon...

Keeps me from the happy hour though I suppose as I troubleshoot.....

You probably need to re-download the OS again. I've seen others having the same problem.
