The Motorola H500 works like a charm. Haven't had one ounce of trouble.

My Jabra BT8040 didn't work at all when I was using 4.2.0.37, but it works flawlessly with 4.5.0.44 beta software.

I've used a Motorola H700 with 4.2 and it seemed fine as long as I was using my Linksys router (as opposed to my Verizon Fios supplied router). With 4.5 it also seems fine.

I should mention that I hardly ever have a UMA call longer than several minutes with the headset. The only long calls I've had is testing the connection by calling my desk phone and putting the mics within audio range of the tv.

Right now I'm up to 38 minutes using UMA and the H700, calling my cordless 2.4gz cordless phone which is running off of Packet 8 VOIP. I've also got Fidelity Activetrader running with streaming quotes. And my bluetooth adapter for my computer is right next to the 8320. So there's lots of packets going through, and lots of stuff running on the same radio frequency and the call is still holding.

I'm thinking the Bluetooth in 4.5 is somewhat better than 4.2. It does also pair automatically now with my Garmin 680 instead of having to be "found".

I have no service at my apartment so I am 100% dependent on the wifi for service. When using the 8320 with the jawbone 2 it disconnects completely from the wifi network. But when I pair the jawbone 2 with my Nokia 6301 it (also wifi). I have a DLink Dir655 router which I tried changing the channel and still the same disconnecting problem. Any advice?

Mini Review:
- Jawbone 1 works both UMA and gprs/edge (too heavy, good battery, excellent clarity)
- Jawbone 2 only works on gprs/edge. Does not work on UMA with my DLink DIR 655 (Battery life sucks compared to the Jawbone 1 however charges super fast, great comfort, excellent clarity)

* To be fair, both works GREAT

B08, you should upgrade to OS 4.5. 4.5 fixes the UMA/Bluetooth issues. Links and instructions here:

John,

I upgraded and while I have been enjoying using the 4.5.0.55 OS, I am still unable to use my bluetooth headset while using UMA. I have been searching the forum all morning for help or a solution. I disabled encryption and tested it, but still no go. So, for me, this update doesn't solve my problem. Is there anything else I can try, short of buying and testing a different headset? Which leads me to the question: what makes a different headset work? I am using a Plantronics 220 and also own a 655, which I haven't tested because it was horrible on 4.2.
