Arrow Opera Mini 4: Screen of Death

Please Login to Remove!

So,

I recently purchased an 8320 Curve about a week ago and I love it! Everything I expected and more..I'm able to use the Internet via T-Zones edge (Blackberry Browser, most if not all sites work properly) but want to use Opera Mini 4 as everyone says it is a much better application.

I've read several, several threads about fixing the screen of death aka 'Failed to connect to the Internet' screen and it just doesn't seem to be working out for me.

So far I've tried to fix it by:

- Changing the APN to wap.voicestream.com leaving the username and password blank many times (resetting and saving mind you).
- Changing the connection settings of Opera (allowing everything to be trusted for the application).
- Trying to connect through a Wi-Fi connection instead of T-Zones.
- Battery pulling after installing Opera Mini.
- Wiping the device then retyping the APN address and battery pulling.
- Re-downloading the application numerous times.
- Downloading the old version of Opera.

All of which have failed me miserablly, bringing me back to the 'Failed to connect to the Internet' screen I am utterly lost and just don't know what to do anymore but post here...Can anyone help?

Afer installing opera.
Go to options
Go to advanced options
go to TCP
in APN type this in- wap.voicestream.com
leave user name and password alone. DONT TOUCH.
Now save and close it
NOW TAKE YOUR BATTERY OUT FOR 30 seconds and put it back in.
Your phone will restart and will now have opera mini installed.

Default Blackberry Opera Problems

I'm new to this forum and I just bought a new Blackberry 8320 Curve and just installed Opera mini 4.0 and it installed fine and the problem that I have is at the Welcome screen and says scroll down to Accept and when I scroll down to Accept there is no Accept button to continue. Has anybody have this problem and if so what to do next.

Don't ask you questions in other peoples threads. Make your own!

But as for you problem, I would suggest reinstalling, or pulling the battery while the device is powered on. Keep it out for 30 seconds, then put it back in.

pcman62, if I recall correctly, at the accept screen, just press either the trackball or the menu key (I forget which) to accept. There is not a specific button on the page.

And BBerryCurve gives good good advice there, feel free to create your own thread next time. BUT--Welcome to the Forums. enjoy.

So, not only does my internet connection fail on the Opera Mini but also with JiveTalk... I can't get anything to work with APN setting 'wap.voicestream.com'

Yet, my internet still works with t-zones browser...and yes, i tried a battery pull...
