sync problem - can I test this on a second device?
Please Login to Remove!
I have a remote user reporting problems syncing her calendar from Notes, but she's receiving email.
Since she's remote, I have limited troubleshooting options, as opposed to haveing her device in hand.
I though I can set her up on a device I have her in my office for testing, to see if it's the device or if reactivating her on the BES would make a difference, but will I "disconnect" her access if I enterprise activate her on a different BB?
running BES 4.0.67, Notes 6.51, Inotes template.
User reports Calendar syncing "used to work, but doesn't anymore..."
Thanks for all the suggestions
we have turned the wireless sycn off and back on, apparenlty it was on.
I'm hesitant to have her re-do the enterprise activation, it took a few hours last time, but we may have to try that.
Thanks also for the suggestion on the re-sync procedure of the Calendar, however non of my users have the desktop manager installed, but I'll try the second option on my end and have her delete and undelete the Desktop Sync service book.
will keep you posted
thanks
Hanni
"Edit: (12/11/2007) One thing you can try first to see if the calendar entry is stuck in Lotus Notes is to pull up the users mail file and do a Shift+Control+F9 to reindex the mail file. Once that is finished, on the Blackberry, go into Options –> [Advanced Options] if necc. –> Service Books and Delete Desktop [SYNC]. Wait about 10-15 seconds or so then on any item in that list, press the thumbwheel / menu key / track ball in to get a menu and choose Undelete. This will initiate a slow sync on the device from the BES. It will go through all entries and compare it to each other. Let me know of your experiences"
interesstingly enough I just check then BES manager, and her calendar wireless sync is disabled....I can't enable that for her from the server, can't I?
I've asked her to turn it on, but nothing yet...I imagine that will solve my issue though...
