I'm still getting reports of some people bricking their 87xx devices when installing the theme, even with 4.2.1 installed. I have 4.2.1.91 on my simulator and it runs the theme fine. ALL 87xx USERS, please indicate whether you were successful in installing it or not, and give me your device model number (8700c, 8707v, etc) and exact OS version (e.g., 4.2.1.91). I want to figure exactly which versions are having trouble with this so no one else has to wipe their phone with the Java loader. Very poor OS design, if you ask me, that a theme can render the whole thing unusable.

Many 8703e users are on 4.1. These will brick.
I can report that this theme works on 8703e with 4.2.1.106.
IF YOUR BLACKBERRY BRICKS DON'T RETURN IT!
It's very easy to reinstall the OS! It's posted all over this board. It take minutes of manipulating, and about 30 minutes of waiting.
ALWAYS back up before installing ANYTHING!!

Those are great themes man, I downloaded each one and once my Paypal account has been set up, I will for sure toss some coin your way ;).
Is there a "How To" section on your site so I can know how to instal them? I download to my desktop and once my Pearl arrives I want to start customizing it. So let me know if you can and my thanks for the super themes.
Cheers

This is pretty cool! I'm moving from the iPhone back to a BB. Can someone confirm that this will work with the 8310 Curve for AT&T?? Thanks, WM

New here, my first post. DO NOT BOTHER TO DOWNLOAD to your 8700c even if you have a later version of the DM. I have version 4.2.2.14 and attempted to DL the ZEN version. Now my phone has the scroll green box icon and red indicator flashing.
Is this the "BRICK" thing you spoke of?? What actions do I have to take from here? I just had my BB unlocked and backed up all my data before doing this. It really pisses me off that I read this entire post and still ended up losing. Grrr! Not your fault but still this really sucks!

It's not the desktop manager version that you need to be concerned with. You need to have OS 4.2.1 or greater on your handset. That is completely different than the DM version number.
Sounds like you probably have Ver. 4.1.X on your 8700c, therefore your phone is not compatible with the theme.

You are ABSOLUTELY right! That's what happens when you try to do it correctly but read thru 8 pages of info before taking the steps. LOL! I'm so cool, I went out and purchased the Curve just now.

So hey, does this mean that my 8700 is never ever going to work again or are there steps that I may take to recover it? I got confused after reading all the posts and downloaded both the DM and OS but forgot which step I had taken before trying to load the theme out of excitement. I brought my BB back to life all of 2 days! LOL! Please advise!!!
On another note, the ICON theme works great on my new 8320!! As soon as I am back from deployment, I will donate!

Does anyone else experience a HUGE memory leak with this theme (icon version) installed? I am using an 8830 running the latest software. After a battery pull I had free memory of 182XXX, after just 10 minutes of not doing anything, I have 175XXX.
I just re-installed, so either this theme or the BB Dimension Icon theme, which I had previously removed, is the culprit.
EDIT: Tried it again last night, went to bed at 182XXX, woke up with 133XXX.
