Question I know this is a dumb and trivial question, but...

I have the new Blackberry curve. I use the desktop manager to add new ringtones through Roxio Media Manager, which came with the desktop manager program. I have a very small, but very annoying problem. When I add a new ringtone, it automatically updates the list on my phone when connected through the USB port. My problem is that when I delete a ringtone, it stays in the list on my phone. Now the ringtones I have active, are in the list with all the old ones that I have since deleted. When I click on the deleted ones, nothing is in them, the ringtone itself is deleted, but the title of the song is still in the list. I've tried to delete them only using the phone, and the Media Manager does not show them on the list when it is plugged in. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Pull your battery while powered on, replace and reboot.

You delete, but the name of the file stays in the memory cache until you reboot.

A small suggestion, that will save big head-aches:

Forget you ever saw Roxio Media Manager.

Enable Mass Storage on your phone, then use Windows Explorer to drag and drop files onto your phone. You can also use this method to clean up the folders on your phone.

Thanks guys. How do I enable that setting if you don't mind explaining it?

no no, there will always be follow up questions.
Some of us would have to seriously get a life if there were never any follow-up questions!
