I am wanting to update to another BlackBerry phone from my now existing Curve. Which phone in your opinion do you think I should purchase and why? The Torch, Bold, Tour or Storm.

Thanks.

Can't make much of a recommendation since you didn't tell us how you will use it, and what you need.

The 9800 doesn't run on Verizon.

The 9530 is on the way out as is the 955o eventually.

Which Bold and Tour model numbers are you considering?

But in any case, this is pretty much your call. What I like and use probably doesn't match what you want.

Thank you, Dubdub. I suppose I didn't give you much information. It's not that I much of anything different that what the Curve offers, but I would like a flash and better resolution with a camera. Better reception with calls. Able to see the keyboard clearer. Although, I can "rock and roll" on a computer keyboard, it takes me a little longer to text and the lavender keys on my Curve are hard to see.

As to the Bold and Tour model numbers ... it's whatever Verizon offers.

If you are with Verizon, my best recommendation is the 9330 (Curve) if available yet or the 9650

hi all
i too am in the market for either a
**torch or bold**.
I'm leaning to the torch for the LARGER SCREEN. got spoiled on the old palm trio years ago and hated my squished up bberry screen.
i have ATT service and have been using the 8310 curve -- time to update! If i get the TORCH I will likely use the trackball and keyboard (love bberry keyboard) heavily and not so much the touchscreen.

I use my phone heavily for lots of email (gmail) and texts, calls, and web browsing, online news and google map. was thinking of getting the Kindle app for a couple of books.
I also have social media but that is a far secondary use.
**ALSO PLAN TO TETHER occasionally- cant do this on my current phone.

thanks for suggestions

GataGirl, it is considered bad forum manners to hijack another's thread. You should start a new one.

BTW, there is no trackball on the 9800. It has a trackpad. Which Bold are you considering? There are several different models so it is best to use the model number and not the nickname.

Looks to me like you have it narrowed down already. Go to an AT&T store and check them out and see which you like better.
