Hi there,
I'm a french student, living in Cambodia for 3 months. I have issues with connecting to free wifi with my BB curve 8520. Sorry for my poor english.
There's free wifi everywhere, and i'm trying to connect to use WHATSAPP and communicate with my family and friends in France.
But I always have the same error message, whatever network i try to connect to.
It is :

"Ce routeur sans fil ne prend pas en charge la fonction UNIT PROTECT SECURE"
Translation : This wireless router does not take care of the function UNIT PROTECT SECURE



What's the solution ?

You still need a BlackBerry data plan to use WiFi.

Contact either of these providers and get a SIM card with BlackBerry access provisioned. You cannot use WiFi until you do, and you cannot properly use your device on any other provider.

I bought a cellcard, I can call from Cambodia to France without problems, send sms too.
But if I understand well,
if the option "Mobile Internet " isn't activated on my card, I can't connect my bb to any wifi network?
