Default Wireless Update

Just wondering since I've never done a wireless update before, over the edge network, approximately how long could I expect it to take. Also, do you think it is safe since I will be without my laptop for another week (in the shop)? Has anyone ever had any real problems doing it wirelessly?

If I were you, I'd wait until you have access to a PC. If something goes wrong, say the battery dies or you lose the connection, and you need to wipe and reload, then you would have to have the PC. You also need the PC to make a backup of your data.

Can't say how long it would take as I don't know the file size, but wouldn't think it would be that long. OS upgrades using a PC can take an hour or so to run, but usually less than that.

Don't do the wireless update. Use a computer.

At the very least, do a manual backup to a computer first if you decide to do the OTA update.
