Hey guys,

Well..I really like the BB Dimension today theme, but I would like to change the home screen so that the call log doesn't show up. This way, I can use those 2 lines for 2 more Calendar lines, so it shows 4 entries.

That is the only thing I want to change...

So..is there a way I can import in the BB Dimension Today theme, modify it using Plazmic, and put it back on my BB? Thanks for the assistance guys

I am no theme expert. However, I am not so sure I would modify a theme that attaches itself to the operating system. There are several today themes out there. I would look at one of them as opposed to the dimension theme.

You'll need to download and install Plazmic theme builder, then choose which phone you have (Pearl, Curve, etc)...and choose the "custom"theme option on the little pop up window that shows. It will open up a blank dimension theme, go to the second tab "Theme the Home Screen". Then there will be a spot that says "Applications:" click the little icon to the right of that for a "Today" type icon, it will put it on the screen

From there under the box where you see the icon there is "Properties" and you'll see the icon and a blackberry logo. Click on that and you can choose a different application. (If you want Message or whichever first). Then you can choose how many sub entries you want under that. Then you add your next one the same way and change that to Calendar.

Then you can export it as a "ALX" so you can install it through DM and there ya go!

I went ahead and did it for you. To get the 4 subentries on the calendar, I had to remove the network and carrier from the banner, then shorten the banner. And I'm not sure if it's good for you but, it's a Today+ version.

Here's what you're looking for.

Dimension Today, no Call Log. 4 entries for Calendar. There's a slight overlap among the Today elements, but you shouldn't notice it during use.

I exported it as a jad file, for OTA installs.

Copy all three files to your SD card.

Open Media, hit the menu button, select Explore.

Navigate to the jad file and click it.

Should act just like a download, except the files are local.

If that won't work, let me know and I'll export it as an alx file for desktop install.

I have a 8703e which just got upgraded to 4.5.

I really like the Dimension Today theme, except that it only displays events from the default calendar.

Would it be possible to edit the theme so that it displays events from all calendars on the device on the home screen?

I have no experience modifying themes so I would greatly appreciate any help.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I wouldn't mind the 4 event version posted above, since I don't really use the call log either.

I'm not aware of any way to merge multiple calendars onto the homescreen. The homescreen shows the calendar that is selected in Options > Advanced Options > Default Services.

The 4 calendar entry file is still up there, feel free to help yourself. Instructions for install are in the later post.
