Are you expecting a delay in the GroupWise release? I assumed SP5 would come out at the same time for everyone?

I've been told by my carrier that SP5 for exchange/lotus is Feb 29th and for Groupwise is 22nd June, but this may differ with your carriers/markets..

I'm not surprised groupwise is later...toook them much longer to get 4.1 IIRC.

Sadly, GroupWise is already 8 months behind waiting for SP4 compared to Exchange.

Looking at the downloads page here are the release dates for Exchange and GroupWise.

SP2 for Exchange: Sept. 12, 2006
SP2 for GroupWise: Oct. 31, 2006

SP3 for Exchange: Feb. 16, 2007
SP3 for GroupWise: March 13, 2007

SP4 for Exchange: June 20, 2007
SP4 for GroupWise: ?

SP5 for Exchange: getting close
SP5 for GroupWise: ???

I talked to a technical account manager at RIM and he told me SP4 will be released on march 7 and SP5 in june/july

Hey Showtime, that's a little bit more believable to what you were saying about a possible march 7 release. I spoke to a Tsupport rep who's been helping me alot with some of our BES/GW issues and he said that it's very close and imminent on release and said that he wouldn't be surprised if it's already released to beta customers and partners already.

Just hope it aint april or May!

I have also heard the same from our RIM folks as well, the bad thing is that Groupwise takes third fiddle to the 2 major email systems in the world, I even asked one of the T-Support guys how many Groupwise Developers they had to try to understand why the heck it takes so long.

The good thing with 4.1.4 when it comes out is at least we will get monitoring with it finally, hope it fixes some of the issues that we have seen with BES and GW.

No wonder our company is looking to move to Exchange, Groupwise always seems to be behind on all of us.
