Default Upgrading to 6.0 wiped out my "Sonar" ringtone - how can I re-install it?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all. T-Mobile finally received the 6.0 OS. I had a very smooth transition from 5.0 to 6.0 last night. The only heartburn I've discovered so far is that my favorite notifier sound (sonar) disappeared. I tried adding the ringtone file manually, but it still doesn't appear as an option in any of the various ringtone categories.

I'd rather not drop back to 5.0 just for the ringtone, so I'd appreciate any guidance about adding it to the 6.0 system.

Thanks,

Tim

There are no new questions, and least not often:

Hi Ira,

Thanks for the help. You're so right: There is no new thing under the sun.

Alas, I didn't find the answer using the forum's search engine - my search term choices included "sonar," which was probably too specific.

I don't tinker with OS revisions very often, but it would be nice to have an upgrade wizard to facilitate the process. I'd like to know beforehand what I'm losing by default and have options to retrieve it after the install's complete. It took BB and T-Mobile six months to push out the new OS, so I suppose I shouldn't be wishing for improvements to the bare minimum upgrade tool.

Thanks again.

Your post was first I heard that sonar isn't there. I'll have to bookmark that link for the future. The sonar is my Level 1 ringtone and has been since day one.
