Default My 9700 Issues

Please Login to Remove!

Is anyone else having issues reading SMS messages within the Inbox? Only about 25% of the numbers read as the names within my Contacts, while the rest are just the phone number. Every time I receive an text message, I have to try and figure out who its from - very annoying.

Also, I have yet to be able to sync it with my Mac. The Blackberry Desktop Manager seems to lose part of my Contact(s) information , while Missing Sync doesn't well, sync.

Outside of those two issues, its a pretty damn fine device.

Thats because its threaded sms in blackberry messenger, and contacts you have linked in blackberry messenger to address book contacts, will show sms's in blackberry messenger. so, show up with the messenger tone.

To separate your SMS messages from your BBM messages:

1) Highlight the contact in your BBM contact list that you wish to separate messages from.
2) Press the menu key and select "Remove Contacts Link."

This will stop your SMS messages showing up in blackberry messenger.

Yeah, I've tried the battery pull and also restarting the device. I've also cleared the log and nothing works so far.

Also, if you try to sync your computer w/ the Mac version of Blackberry Desktop, some of the contact information doesn't sync. Once again, pretty annoying, but I guess that's what you have to deal w/ when you get a device early.
