There is a feature built into the phone itself that allows you to set a time (in min) to auto lock the keyboard with/without a password

Just to add, it can be locked by simply pressing the letter K

^^ That is if dial from home screen is disabled..if not the 8900 has a designated key on the top left for lock/unlock

--in 8900, holding on to A key will lock your keyboard. A + # will unlock it. This is an alternative to the designated lock/unlock key at the top lefthand corner.

set a password, then the option for security timeout will be come available.

at least i think you need to set a password for that option to become available...

Hi, I had to download it. Works fine. It can be set to lock after your screen has gone off, which is ideal for me. I always forget to lock my phone and end up callng someone from my pocket lol
