Default Combined Emails? Please tell me im dreaming.

Please Login to Remove!

I have a very, very annoying problem with my 8900.

I used to have a single BIS email account setup connecting to Gmail. Now I also wanted my work/exchange email so I upgraded to a BES account, and added my work email.

the problem is instead of creating another "mailbox" on my device, it just kept one and now sends BOTH account emails to the same mailbox. So I can never tell what was sent to me personally, or my office account as they are all mixed in the same place?

Is there no way to segregate emails from different accounts to difference mail folders/icons?

You can with a program from Empower. This is the only way to seperate them right now.

Empower your BlackBerry with HTML Email Viewer and BES MailBox

Zerog46 - u mean this is normal? Surely the BB people expected you to have more than one mailbox on a device created primarily for messaging?

Im gonna need more coffee and a few pain killers soaked in it.

The way it is. All email goes into the main email box. It's easy to seperate BIS accounts by hiding the main icon but not BES because you need that one.

That is different. Sms are texts, the op is talking only about email.

It sounds like you have set up two different BIS accounts. Those can be in sepearte inboxes. I have never dealt with BES, but it's my understanding that all BES email goes only into the general email box, which would also contain all the other email accounts.

By the way, the folder is called "Messages". Not "Inbox" or "Stuff I want in there". By default all messages (SMS, MMS, BBM, IM, E-Mail) and some phone logs go into the Messages folder.

Nope.. I've only one BIS account, One Login.

I've 4 emails setup (one pop3 from company, 3 other emails (yahoo, gmail, and my carrier's free mail box)

In my home page, I've 5 icons :
- 4 icons which contains emails separately from the different mailboxes i've setup, mentioned above.
- PLUS 1 more icon called 'Messages" , an All-in-one icon where i can see all my emails.

Hope that clarifies.

It sounds as if Rurapente should have originally tried to add the work email to his BIS.
With BES could he have just designate the work email as a priority1 so the font would read in red. Although he wouldn't know if the email was work or personal till he opened the messages icon.

If I'm following this correctly... rurapente no longer has a BIS account (only one account per phone). He switched to a BES account. He is no longer the administrator of the account, I assume his office is. Hind sight (assuming no corporate restrictions) he could have just added the work email to his original BIS account.
The frustrating part is once you go BES you can't switch back.

I believe each BIS account allows 9 + 1 provider email accts.

Did I follow this right?
