Can someone recommend a good secure data app that runs on the BB 9630 and has a PC side app that will sync with it. The PC app needs to run in Windows 7.

Thanks,

I don't understand, what do you want this app to exactly do?

SplashID. Over the past seven years I've used it on three PC OSes -- Win98, XP and Vista -- and three mobile platforms -- PalmOS, WM2008SE, RIMOS -- and never had any significant problems. I can't attest to it working with Windows 7, but I think it unlikely that a company such as SplashData would cripple their software by not having it function on that OS; maybe you could e-mail them.

I bought this, installed it on my Tour, and when I get to the part where I enter my reg number, it just doesn't accept the enter. I press enter, but it doesn't acknowledge it. It's not saying the code is wrong. It's just not going forward.

I checked the web site and it's not listed as being compatible with the Tour. But the site I bought it from, Handango, says it is. Any further suggestion?

Thank you, G M Fude.

If I can't get the first suggestion to work, I'll try yours.

Yup, they will have a fix by Wednesday, I have had it on all my BB for the past several years and I just got around to putting it on mine. I emailed them and they said they will have a fix by around this Wednesday.

KeePass for BB over SplashID for me (though I use SID on Palm and Windows Mobile). Either upload the file to a retrievable location, or copy the database file to your device. No additional apps, or syncing required.

I happen to use KeePassX on just about every machine I have. Is this the same app, but for the Blackberry?

@StalePancake
That's correct. I use KeePass BB and it syncs just fine with Desktop Manager.

There was indeed a new version for the Tour as expected. Have it running.

Thanks to everyone for your helpful replies.

I have used eWallet now for a few years and they are great. you can find ewallet at Pocket PC, iPhone, Smartphone and Palm Software. Good product. AFter ewallet I would suggest DAta Vault and Keepass. I trialed spalshid for a bit and it was quirky on my BB.

I sync a couple of phones to the same (and one different wallet) and that works out just fine. I do think the sync conflicts are not handled great in ewallet though. Anytime there has been a change on both sides it automatically creates a second entry with the new changes and you have to manually go in and pick which one you want to keep or manually make the changes. That is kind of annoying, but other than that great.
