have your battery lives gotten worse since getting .61? i feel like my battery life was much improved with .53, but now its back to where it was when i first got the phone...anyone else notice this, or is it possibly just me?

I was just going to post the exact same thing! i put .53 on my phone and i was so happy because my battery would last so much longer and then i thought i would put the latest/greatest os on and it sucks!

Not sure, I updated to .61 one night, and the next morning and throughout that day, I could've sworn the battery life wasn't quite as good as the day before, but now it seems it's actually better!

I think it's fine, and probably just a placebo effect. You can't really say unless you sit there and write a precise journal of how you used your phone (apps., data, etc.) the day before you upgraded to .61, and also did the same for a few days or whatever...AFTER you would have upgraded to .61.

I blamed it on .61 and it was a fluke I think, because the battery is just great now, compared to the same capacity battery that came with my older 8830, definitely better than that one. Also, the week I upgraded to .61 I know I used my device quite a bit throughout the day.... it's all really hard to say without truly paying attention to how you were comparatively using your phone over the course of days, or even weeks.

I mean if you really feel the battery usage stinks after .61, you can always switch back to the older OS... but I wouldn't go through that hassle since 5.0 official should be out here in.. what, a few days, couple of weeks??

well, i can tell you for sure that the battery life was worse for me after going to .61, i know how my phone works and it was definately lacking battery life when i switched. now i just installed 5.0.0.191 today and i will see how this is with battery life.
