Default Blocking Hotspot via IT Policy

Please Login to Remove!

Any of you admins know if it's possible with BES 5.0.x to block a device with OS 7.1 from enabling the Hotspot functionality (where the device itself can be a hotspot, not the ability to connect to a hotspot).

I don't see it anywhere in BES 4.1.7 (I'm guessing because the hotspot feature was nary a twinkle in anyone's eye when 4.1.7 came out...)

TIA.

Is it possible that an add-on script could be put on the server?

I also thought this was a feature that the carrier could block too unless the user had the correct plan.

Yea, for most it doesn't work unless the carrier adds the necessary plan. However, I know of some that are getting thru and able to use it without a plan.

Found it.... KB28284-How to import IT policy rule definitions for BlackBerry Device Software 7.0
