Question PalmOne Tungsten T|5 to BlackBerry 8700v

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I'm trying to use my BlackBerry to give my Palm access to the Internet using Bluetooth, but haven't been successful... yet. I'd like to know if anybody has previous experience with this and if there's a FAQ/How-To or something I haven't seen-

My BlackBerry is used without a BES or BIS account, just plain TCP and no data plan as my tariff is good enough for the little amount of data I need to access occasionally.

What have I done till now?

1 - Successfully paired Palm and BlackBerry and assigned both trusted status.

2 - Tested Bluetooth works seamlessly by transferring files (transferred Gizmo app with all files (one *.jad and all *.cod's) and correctly installed it on BlackBerry as I can't do OTA installs and figured it might work without having to do a new *.alx file and without using Desktop Manager... it did).

3 - Created a new Network Connection on my Palm to use the BlackBerry device to connect, but here I got stuck...

I can select one of the following: PC, MoDem, Phone, Local Network...

if I use PC or Local Network it times out when it's signing in, like it connects, but doesn't know how to autenticate or something, I'm not using a username or password because I don't know if I need one or not;

if I use MoDem or Phone, it complains I haven't properly configured something and does not reach the signing in stage...

Any help would be appreciated, and if any info is incomplete pray do tell me and I'll fill the gaps in.

I'm using BlackBerry OS v.4.5.0.75 (the latest posted as of today) and the device is unlocked; on the other Palm OS v.5.4.8.

Thanks in advance and have a nice day!
