Default Odd BB Messenger Invite (Cant Delete)

Please Login to Remove!

Hope someone can help.
On 1-3-11, I got a BBM invite that was sent in a foreign language. I did not accept the invite, but ,I cant delete it either. I only have 2 other people on BBM and My 9800 is a refurb from ATT. Ive only had it a couple of months.
Ive tried to delete it ,but ,after each try nothing happens. I have a picture of the text ,but not sure if I should post here. Thanks for any help. Frank

Do a hard reset and then try again. With the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds.

That did it , I really appreciate the help. I wonder what would have happened if I accepted the invite? Probably would have crashed the whole phone. Thanks again

I doubt it had anything to do with the invite message. Just coincidence.

For any weird things like that, a hard reset is the first troubleshooting step.

Because it's a refurb it was previously activated and used. That strange invite was probably intended for the original owner. A friend or acquaintance doesn't know he changed devices. I'm sure it's harmless.
