Default Bolt Beta 3 Updated.

Please Login to Remove!

It's available for download:

Bolt Browser - Download

Seems quicker then Beta 2, but I haven't used it too much yet.

Seems a little quicker, and there's a 'font install' button in the Preferences. That's all I've noticed so far.

Default What's the deal with no escape button

I find it irritating that neither Opera Mini nor the Bolt Browser (which I otherwise find to be an excellent browser, btw) allow you to escape to the home screen without having to close the program. Is there a reason for this or a way around it other than closing the program?

What do you mean? Just press the red phone button to return to the home screen without closing the browser. Are you talking about something else?

I wish BOLT would add a single column view. I don't want to scroll around the page to find what I'm looking for. I always use the single column (called Mobile View) in Opera Mini.

I hope this version remembers cookies better than the last, I couldn't stand having to type my password in again and again after checking the remember me box.

Actually, I was talking about bringing up the Application Window, but the red button functions very well as an intermediate step to switching tasks. I use one of the side buttons to bring up the Application window and did not realize that the red button functioned as a "go to background" switch. Thanks for the info. I thought since Opera disabled the side buttons, BOLT does also. This Beta 3 is VERY fast and doesn't hang at the 20% download for a minute before continuing on. I'm grateful for this new version.

Why not use the Bank of America mobile site/shortcut?

This is nicer then beta 2.

I am able to play some more videos straight from the browser.. Just don't bring up the application while playing that video/audio it throws a java error and crashes bolt.

Nope they seem to be very quiet.. Hopefully they surprise us... As I really do like Opera Mini more then Bolt (For now.) But Bolt is getting better and better.

After surfing the web for a while with Bolt.. My Battery life plummets.. Anyone have that type of issue?

(I ask because it could be my battery)

It seems to be an issue when you first get on. It may be worthwhile to have run in background for longer periods than we are accustomed to.

I tried browsing these forums using Bolt, going from thread to thread and forum to forum all the data transfer really hit my batter. Guess I'll be sticking with the WAP Site for now

Default BOLT BETA 3 W/ 5.0 bb Messenger

Is anyone using the bolt beta with the 5.0 messenger? I was using the 5.0 messenger and loaded bolt beta3 and when I rebooted the phone, it would't turn on completely, it just cycled from white screen with hour glass and would shut off. I had to RELOAD from tmobiles site and load all my apps again. Just wondering if anyone had this same issue, because I actually really liked BOLT for that 1 hr i was using it. Thanks

I'm running the Bolt Browser (v.1.04) with BB Messengerr 5.0 and I haven't had a single problem with them.
