Hello,

I'm recently experiencing the following problem:

"Installation failed. Please check installation log"
(The installation log doesn't show any problems)
The "solution" as given on RIM's pages - about space-problems on the harddisk isn't the problem aswell. (At least 3GB of hdd-space are availabe - write access to directory is given - and systemlog doesnt show anyhting about it)

right after giving all data and starting to install

System:
Windows Server 2003 Standard and Enterprise (tested on both)
MDAC 2.8 with all fixes
Exchange 2003 Management tools installed on this sep. box
MSDE (as shipped with the MSX BES 4.1.6 package)
prerequesits installed as needed
service-account is local admin on the box, got send-/recv-as where needed

Sorry for having disturbed

I got a new installer-file from RIM. It solved the problem. Installation run through now.
