Default No Internet

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I cant get the Internet to work on my 9800; its been off for a few days. I get the following message:

Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later..."

I am on BIS.

Facebook works
BBM works
Email works

I contacted my provider but they seem clueless. Any ideas? I am thinking about a backup and a wipe - I have tried a few battery pulls to no avail.

Appreciate any advice.

James

Just use Bluetooth.. its super convienient and easy to configre.

1) Connect your bluetooth devices (add 9800) under the bluetooth management/properties.

2) Configure modem. Use existing Celco provider settings.

3) Connect and Walla..

Sorry, but that has nothing to do with getting Internet on your BB. What posted was tether to your laptop/PC using BT. The OP cannot get Internet on his BB.

Assuming that you have a properly activated BB data plan, have you re-registered the device using the host routing tables? Have you resent service books?

Thanks for the replies.

Dubdub - I have the data plan and everything else is working - BBM's, Facebook, emails - the lot.

I have re-sent the service books, re-registered and pulled the battery after just for good measure. Nothing.

I connected to my Wi-Fi and the browser will work on there but just not on the network, got a friend to try hers and there is no problem there so the network seems to be working.

I wiped the device incase it was a rogue setting but same problem.

I could understand if BBM and Email were down as well - very confusing...

Any other thoughts?

Only thing that I can think of would be to wipe it with Jl_cmdr (see the FAQ) and reinstall the OS.

I have fixed the problem; if anyone else finds themselves in the situation above I would recommend being persistent with your carrier.

After several calls my service provider finally managed to sort the problem - they didn't explain what the problem was but at least they solved it!

Thanks for the replies.

Dubdub, I have no idea what they did, I told them there were Internet problems and they said they would look into it; few days later it worked.
