Hi Guys I am new to the mac world and would like to know if there is an easy way to get my BB contacts on to my iMac preferably via bluetooth. I am on BES with a work PC and it sync OTA so its only really to have a handy copy of my contacts at home for reference.

I have made the bluetooth connection! Whats next or is it possible? If not what is the alternative?

Pretty straightforward to do actually. Since you already paired the two, you got past the harder of the two pieces.

On your BlackBerry:
Options > Bluetooth
Highlight your Mac, click the menu button, and choose 'Transfer Address Book'.

Looks like I was getting too uppity I thought i'd paired them but on my mac they are not showing as connected. They are showing on both devices but I cant see tranfer address book when I highlight the Mac even though this option comes up when I highlight my bluetooth ear piece (weird)

You cannot transfer data via BT from your BB to your Mac, cable only. With that said you can install Pocket Mac, which is free from RIM, or Missing Sync, which you have to pay for and is not supported by RIM, I personally use PM. Once that is installed you might be able to sync to your Mac. I am not familiar with syncing a BES device to a personal computer and the security that might prevent it. Someone who is familiar with BES might want to chime in.

WFLDEng611, the user is attempting to transfer their address book to the Mac via Bluetooth.
This is absolutely possible to do, and no additional software is required.

They aren't looking to sync... they just want to transfer the address book.
