Default Better Manage Blkbrry Forum

Please Login to Remove!

1. Let's organize the Blbry Forum: Wld b good if Forum had a list of Category/Titles (ie harware questions, software questions, carriers, etc.). Then each user could post question under a category, rather than random titles like "need help" etc. Who is going to scroll through a hundred pages for help on particular prob, non-descrpt titles are a time waster.

2. New Blckbrrys shld come with a wheel that cliks whn u turn it off-so phone stays off until you wnt it bk on. Me & my husband phones turn on in our pocket/purse and then gets all messed up!

My blkbry pearl 8100 kps highlightng all emails, can't read one seperately, don't know how to shut off the mass highlighter. Went into hissy fit while in purse (I had turned it off!).

Thank you All!

First, welcome to the BB forums. What a great first post!

**but I moved it to the Site Suggestions, etc., suggestion.**

1. Don't scroll, search first... and if you post a question, by all means please do use a descriptive title. It does help. And spell all the words correctly best you can. It is heck when one searches on something like "BlackBerry" and you've spelled it "Blbry" or "Blckbrry" or "blkbry".

2. There is a way to turn it full power off... hold down the red end call key, and you should have a choice of (heaven forbid that you would) full power off. But if you have a calendar appointment, alarm or task set, it will power back on to alert you. And if you carry it around in your purse unguarded in a holster, I would imagine some keys will get pressed and it would turn back on. Rule #1, never turn your BB off.

Mass highlighting? try pressing the shift key to un-mass highlight.

And yes, your post is hard to read, sorta like crappy non-descript thread titles.

Are you seriously making suggestions as to how other people should post?
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!
I don't even know what language you just posted in.

I think the current organization is working fine.

On your pearl, before you drop it in your purse, hold the mute key (on the top of the device) for 1 second and put the device in standby. That will prevent you from inadvertantly pressing buttons.
