Im a new Blackberry owner and user, so many people are intrested and want to un lock there blackberry. Besides being able to use a blackberry with a diffrent company that doesnt carry the phone what would be the advantage to have a ATT one unlocked if you have ATT as you carrier? Thanks

That is the only advantage to having it unlocked. Also, if you travel internationally you can purchase prepaid sim cards and use them in the BB for less expensive calling while abroad.

Just out of curiousity, is one able to buy these prepaid sim cards throughout the U.S.? If so, where abouts? The reason I ask is that I have a Curve with Rogers now and will be travelling to New York. Between costs for roaming sent SMS and roaming voice calls, the bills are unreal.
