I'm trying to install VMware vCenter on the same server as BES, and it needs port 8080, which is currently being used by BES. I found on this forum how to change that port in BES, but before I change it, could anyone tell me what that will do? Will something stop working in BES?

did you try to type servername:8080 in your browser?

Yes, and it goes to "BlackBerry Mobile Data Server Connection Service". I don't know what that does or if it would affect the communication with Exchange Server.
