i've searched these boards and tried every suggestion for deleting saved msgs from my 7290. no luck. 'saved msgs' are greyed out in the desktop manager, ive taken battery out, even SIM out and battery in - the saved msgs are still there! ive done the alt/cap/del reset -- nothing. i need to delete the saved messages - any further help appreciated.

if you are in your messages on your bb...wheelclick then go to folders.....is there a folder there? Are you on BES? This maybe something that is on the server your bb is syncing to. Are the messages in your search functions? If you do alt-whateveryoursearch is....go to messages then wheelclick and go to search...then wheelclick and hit recall....is saved messages one of your searches?

ok - i knew i'd figure it out right after i posted.

i went to "options" "Security" "general settings" "content protection" - and that gave me a "wipe handheld" option -- that worked.

obviously i'm no 7290 expert.
