Default email reconciliation?

Please Login to Remove!

another issue w/ the new T-Mobile Blackberry Pearl 8220 Smartphone.

When I delete emails from my outlook inbox, they are not being deleted on my device.

We run Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1.3

We're running Exchange 2003.

I have BB Desktop Mgr 4.3.0.17 unstalled on my pc.

I've set the Device itself (email reconciliation) to "mailbox & handheld".

Emails deleted from outlook inbox are not being deleted from the device.

I've checked the settings in BB Desktop Mgr (couldn't find anything) and resynched.

Verified in Desktop Manager:

Synchronize > Configuration (tab) > Configure Reconciliation > Synchronize Moves and Deletes (radio button) > Mailbox Wins (radio button)

I've removed/re-inserted the BB battery.

Even if I hit the "reconcile now" option, the deleted items stay on the device.

Driving me crazy - might anyone have a suggestion?

Wirelessly posted (8300)

Is your device enterprise acitvated correctly? Which folders (or is everything) being sent to your device? Reconilliation is squirally and does not work that well period(FYI...) In my experiences.

are you using wireless reconciliation ? on the handheld check on the email reconciliation is set to on, in some cases you can turn it off, then wait a few seconds and turn that on again to force the sync.

Regards

There was a previous post of this type of problem in BES Admin.
This can be caused by the users Outlook at there PC being operating in "cached exchange" mode.
Turning off cached exchange mode resolved this problem at my work environment.
You might want to give that a look.
Best regards.

Thanks everyone.

The device is activated properly. Info is correct w/in the BB Server admin and the device is speaking to the server (last contact time is current). Emails are being delivered and are able to be sent from the device.

Curently only the inbox is configured to receive emails (although the other folders do appear on the device, they are empty).

My outlook account is not in cached mode.

I am using wireless reconciliation. I turned WR off, let sit for about 5 mins, then turned back on. Manuall ran "reconcile now" and emails deleted from my outlook inbox are still there in my BB inbox.

Our network predominantly uses devices on the Verizon network. We're testing out these T-Mobile ones. We've had no issues w/ reconciliation w/ the Verizon devices aside from temp. glitches that reseating the battery didn't resolve.
