Started last night.

Only known fix right now is to remove/re-add email acct on BIS site (BlackBerry Internet Service)

No known time it'll be fixed right now
.
No it is not working for me I tried this so many time last night and this morning. I'm with ATT so it is not only TMobile it is YAHOO -RIM PROBLEM!

I have Verizon - so it's not just Tmobile that's having these problems.

Wirelessly posted (Spin's BlackBerry 7290: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/107)

As I said earlier, Rogers Yahoo email is also affected.

Just got Yahoo to register on the BIS website. When the new envelope was sent to the Blackberry it now has a Yahoo emblem on it instead of the regular envelope that the theme gives.

All that downtime for a new icon. What a crock.

Yahoo changed their e-mail last night to include SSL encryption. Undoubtedly, the BB servers don't use it when retrieving messages from Yahoo (or at least not yet). Interesting that my Yahoo doesn't work as of last night, but my wife's still does. We both have the same provider (Cincinnait Bell). Her Yahoo is a free account, mine is plus, but both are served through Yahoo's "Personal home page"...

Reconfigured my Yahoo account on BIS, resent service books, and Yahoo email delivery is still sloooooow. GMail takes less than 10 seconds to arrive. Yahoo hosted mail takes 15 minutes...

Thanks,

Here's what I know. I posted my problem initially last night on another thread http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...lid-pearl.html

...but this one is more active.

I have a Pearl with T-Mobile. I have ATT/Yahoo DSL (formerly SBC/Yahoo). I got T-Mobile so that I could deal with ATT less.

I do not have a small business account with Yahoo. I do not believe I have a premium Yahoo email account, but I do pay ATT/Yahoo monthly for DSL service.

I was able to re-add the account last night, not as the Yahoo email address, but under the address for my DSL account, ending with sbcglobal.net.

However, like others, there is a delay in receiving email on the BB. I have Yahoo mail open on my computer and there's at least a 15-minute delay in delivery to my BB.

If anyone has an update from Yahoo and/or Blackberry, please share!

I'm still getting a lot of spam that shouldn't, and normally wouldn't, be coming to my blackberry.

It's back working for me. I had to add it again, and it is now working and fast. If you deleted your e-mail from you BB, drag your Yahoo inbox to a folder, let it sync up, then drag it back sorted by reverse date order. The messages will reappear on your BB.

Default Update: AT&T Yahoo Mail Problem

After reading today's posts, I tried again to add my Yahoo account (a free account) back to BIS. This time it validated the account. Sent the service books and then a test email from another account. The test arrived almost instantly.

Perhaps the fix for whatever the problem was on Yahoo's side is just taking awhile to replicate to all mail servers - so keep trying periodically to add the account back to BIS.

I can also report that after deleting and reconfiguring my Yahoo hosted account on the BIS and resending service books, I am now receiving my messages in a timely fashion.

After one of previous Yahoo outages I have found they reset spam filters in my Yahoo account.
I enabled filters back and spam problem was solved.

Login to your Yahoo account and check yours.

well it's day 2 of the new yahoo/BIS, I now receive emails late & along with tons of spam. I though updates meant progress. Does anyone have a number or email address for Blackberry support so I can complain, those useless monkeys at at&t wash their hands of it & blame yahoo/blackberry.
