Well I upgraded a week ago to the official AT&T .526 release and my battery life is awful. I turn my BB off at night and let it charge. Took it off the charger this morning and turned it on and after an hour my battery is at 90%. I just tried Wazdat1's suggestion and unchecked "enable compression" to see if that helps. If that doesn't work I guess its on to .546.

Can anyone point me at something which describes what .546 actually DOES?

This thread will give you the most information about what it "does." Official change logs are very seldom released, so the only way to find out what it "does" is to try it yourself and/or read the collective observations of others who have installed it - i.e., this thread.

Upgraded from .534 to 546. No problems so far, much quicker and seems to have fixed the camera issue I had. Where the camera would either stay blank for about 5 minutes or would only work once I'd done a reboot.

Good stuff

Well after turning compression off yesterday, this morning after an hour my battery is at 98% so it has improved somewhat.

I was in the US last weekend and early this week (AT&T) and noticed on a number of occasions (3 - 4 times a day) the screen/keyboard freezing temporarily for no reason on .546. Thought it might have been becuase of roaming. However temporary freezing (for up to 5 seconds) still persisting back home on Rogers.

Same here. And it keeps rebooting

I downloaded the 2475 upgrade for my Torch and was told the driver failed to install and the installation then just hanged.

I was then instructed to go to Control Panel / Systems / Device Manager / Universal Serial Bus Controllers / USB Root HUB / Properties / Power Management and to then select the Allow the computer to turn off this device.

I followed the instructions on all USB Root Hubs and tried various USB ports on the laptop, but nothing resolved the problem and when I "retry" I get the same message with the instructions above.

I am not a computer expert so following the above instructions were challenging enough.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have found two issues with this OS and not with the last OS I was on, .450 beta or .246 or the stock whatever it came with:

1) Every now and then after turning off my bluetooth itself, my torch somehow continues to operate under the understanding that the bluetooth is still active. That is to say, the blue light continues to blink, media player(s) play as if bluetooth is still on, and going into Manage Connections and tweaking the Bluetooth options does absolutely nada. Only reboot works.

2) Often, but not all the time, when highlighting text to copy (to paste elsewhere), on clicking copy tabs (bottom of screen or in popup), the highlighted area goes grey and the text actually does not copy. Have to redo.

Anyone else experiencing these issues?

You beat me to it. I found it yesterday, downloaded and installed this morning. No difference that I can ascertain as yet.
