Nope, been using this OS for two weeks now there is no such trackball problem. Only disgusting problem with this 5 series OS is the call jitter issue, so annoying. Hope RIM will do a fix soon.
Regards,
Saurav.

Installed .681 a couple nights ago. Love some of the new interfaces, but battery loss seems to have increased from 4.5xx. Anyone else have this problem? Without anything running (6 icons in the switch applications bar) I lost almost 80% of my battery in 5 hours. That ain't right... What was the latest 5.0.x that folks were really happy with?

Doesn't really matter. It's been a downward spiral. Every release fixes one thing and breaks two. And BB9000 users can't even hope for the nightmare to end with 6.x since by the looks of it the available mem is not enough to support it.

Well, it turns out that when I'm using my A2DT Bluetooth headset and watch a youtube, it reboots. When I go to my plugin headset, it works fine. Also, when I use 3rd Party themes, it gives me a white apps page when I delete a file after putting on my own wallpaper. Some 3rd party apps habe ghost icons that obscure the real ones.
Maybe its iPhone time... Or Droid...

I think the battery life does suck on 5.0.0.681. Its either this OS, the stupid Kik program I installed or its the One Year mark and now I'm start to see battery degradation.
Where is the 9800 SLIDER????

I've had 5.0.0.681 running on my 9000 for several weeks now. I have had no bad issues with it at all. Bluetooth works fine with my Plantronics headset or the hands-free function of my car GPS. No jittery voice problem. My phone goes on the charger at bedtime and is used all day with internet, texting, email, and other things like Kindle for BlackBerry. Battery drain has not been a problem. I have done only two battery pull resets during that time. I did those because of memory getting low. That is no worse than I experienced with previous OS versions...

Can you disable the trackball access to profiles in the status line ?
I have a Theme MiPhone that relies upon being able to roll upwards and it displays 18 icons on the main screen without having to press the Blackberry button. Now when I roll up I get to highlight the profile selected on the top left. Anyone know how to remove this option from the blackberry so that the roll up operates my Theme ?

I have no issue with the trackball. Perhaps your trackball has started to fail?

Despite this firmware running way better than previous versions -- I'm having some pretty serious memory leak issues, going from 20MB+ free at reboot to under 8MB free 24hours later. I'm go to start weeding out 3rd party apps -- not that I run many of them :( Within 2-3 days I'm at zero free and have to reboot regardless. Quite odd...

Within 15 minutes, down to about 15MB free. Starting the application purge to see if it's anything I can control...

So, removing the Weather Network widget has helped but memory is still dropping uncharacteristically...down under 9MB without a reboot since yesterday afternoon so there's another app leaking it would appear!
