That's exactly what I'm wondering. I can't figure out how to do it. You'd think this is a basic feature since every phone I've had in the last 5 years could do it. Especially since this machine is designed with messaging as a core function.

As far as I know, you cant do it. I think this feature was only available on a few Nokias. I havn't noticed it on Sony Ericssons or Motorolas.

I don't think you can do this....I think you can only SMS one person at a time. Silly, isn't it?

Just send an email to their email SMS address (eg. mine is [email address]) and CC everyone else.

You don't even need an SMS plan if you use this. It just uses data (which I'm sure you're on an unlimited plan anyways.)

Hope that works for ya.

I believe he meant to send an regular e-mail (which gets converted to SMS for some carriers), not an SMS.

On 7250 4.0 on BES 4.0 you can do this, just keep adding To addresses and address them to users SMS addys. I would assume it's the same on any 4.0 device.

Man, that seems like a pretty big oversight seeing as the cheapest handsets have had this feature for years.

I've posted this question before and haven't really gotten a response. And searching the posts doesn't reveal any answers. If it's a function that's not available, who can we write to have it included in a firmware/software update?

I guess RIM, but they probably won't do it...I remember someone (NJ?) posting that BB's are primarily for business use (security reasons also) and doesn't and won't be manufactured with typical things you'd find on other PDA's. (like SD slots, etc.)

Also things like voice dialing, camera phone, ringtones for contacts or caller groups, on top of the ability to SMS more than one person at a time.

teskew,

One would think mass SMS would be a businesscentric function that ought to be built in (e.g., The Boss is here. KILL THE PARTY IN THE STOCKROOM!!!!).

Teresa: Have you tried this Software? If so, any thoughts? It's pretty inexpensive, which is good.

Thanks

Default SMS to Many

I Have a balckberyy 7100v and you can actually select the message you have just sent and click the trackwheel to selct forward, it then lets you selct who you want to firward the message to next, just keep clicking forward until you have sent to all those you want to get the message to - this is the easiest way I have found so far.
