Default Yahoo! GO

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guy's, I'm having a bit of trouble downloading Yahoo! Go on my phone, basically the download times out on itself - does anyone know of any download which will allow me to download yahoo go on my PC then transfer it over to my blackberry?

Thanks,

William

First of all, Yahoo! Go is a dog. I wish it worked better, but it is slow, slow, slow. I have given it time to update after the initial installation, but the app itself has a tendency to hang. It's just a resource hog. Plus, text input just sucks. It doesn't utilize any of the BBs built in auto selecting modes or SureType, and on the 7130 it's a real pain.

In my opinion, you can get more and better info simply by using wap sites and rss feeds. But I guess if you are tied to yahoo in one way or another it might be good.

Having said that, here is the direct download to the jad file for the 7130:
http://download2.go.yahoo.com/softwa...&preselintl=us

You'll probably need the 320x240 res for the 8100, so visit Y! Go from the BB browser and when you get to the "Download Now" link, scroll click and select send address and email it to yourself. You can then visit the link on your PC.

I agree. I liked all the features, RSS, FLIKR, etc... but its just to slow, runs down the battery and eats the resources up to much. maybe down the road it will be a bit sleeker.

I downloaded it and tried it few times... works well for me but the direction seeker tends to freeze when you try to get directions from point a to point b.

I like the feature that it gives me info around my city, like traffic and other small details... anyway, i might keep it for some time, and if there is any major issues then will take it out

I didn't like its slowness at first, but on mine with the latest upgrade....I'm loving it.

No issues here installing. I used the address book sync. It was 90% effective, but Yahoo turned off that service 12 days ago & I'm waiting for it to come back.

I deleted Yahoo Go. It was really slow and in fact some of the net connections did not even load. These links were in their own website. The directions route mapper was lousy and very very slow, in fact it froze my pearl... waste of time... still not perfected.
