Please Login to Remove!
So I added the BB Visual Voicemail on my at&t account and it added successfully.
BUT It does not work, I tried:
-restarting the device (no luck)
-tried wireless upgrade (none available)
-tried resending service books (no help)
any ideas?>
Thanks!
Brad

1. Are you running a version of the OS with the VVM application?
2. When you launch that application, does it tell you that you are not provisioned?
3. Did you get a "Please Power Off/On" message?
My guess is that it might just take a few minutes (or possibly hours) to filter through the system. I had a friend set his up last night, and it took 30 minutes or so to start working.

You should get the standard voicemail icon, plus a popup showing the Caller ID information, plus a message in your messages folder (because the voicemail is treated like any other e-mail, MMS, or SMS message).
Try a battery pull if you haven't already.

Oh, one last thing to consider... everyone might need to make sure that AT&T has their device listed properly. In other words, your account should show you are using a Bold and not some other BlackBerry device.
Again, my friend had trouble because the device listed on his account was not a Bold. Once customer service fixed the device associated with his account, things started working properly and his VVM was finally provisioned correctly.

Yes did a battery pull and the Bold is listed in the system as my phone
Still no luck, I will update everyone if it suddenly starts working.
Thanks again

I have my fingers crossed that it is just an issue with slow provisioning. I might have misunderstood, but I think AT&T may be pushing this to everyone's account, and if that's accurate, then I expect things to be a bit slow today.

I just got this setup at 7:40am MDT using 4.6.0.282. The CSR couldn't find the code either but once she entered it manually and I rebooted (not power cycled like she suggested) it took about 5min for the VV to be active on the phone and walk through the setup process.
Good luck to all!

Did an OTA update this morning and then turned on the feature through the ATT website and all is working. Is it okay now to change the 1 speed dial on my phone to something else or does that need to remain?

Try this ...
Call your voicemail and setup it up through there. I was in the process of setting up the VVM through the BB when it kinda froze and I restarted. Note I am on .282 and enabled the VVM this morning through my ATT account.
Hope this helps.

From Stinsonddog's post on the AT&T Official Release
From Stinsonddog's post on the AT&T Official Release and some instructions on how to enable your VVM.

Step 3: Set Up Of The New Visual Voicemail Box
To complete set up of the Visual Voicemail service, you should:
1. Click on the Visual Voicemail icon on the smartphone.
2. Follow the steps on the screen to enter a password of your choice, and select a standard or a personal
greeting.

Roaming Internationally
Visual Voicemail will not deliver messages while traveling internationally. To change this, select the Visual Voicemail icon, click on the Menu key, select Options and then set Allow Data Connection While Roaming to Yes. So 2 dumb questions.
1)Can you revert back to normal voicemail if you hate the new one?
2)Can you continue go back to using youmail if vvm is not the thing for you after you have "upgraded"?
If so do you have to deactivate the feature and begin again?

anyone know if this affect my advanced voicemail? Right now I can have two greetings. One for when I'm off of the phone and miss it, and one for if I'm on the phone or send someone to voicemail.

I don't see the visual voicemail option on my account management page.. chatting with AT&T now..
Nice to see that finally the orange 3G icon now appears when using At&T communication manager.. I was told that would be fixed.. now let's see if the dropped calls are any better, and if the 3G tethering is any better and provides faster connections in more locations.
