I am all for extended batteries because I too feel the pain of a running low battery on my bold, however I must say I would never purchase this batery/door combo

It is very nextel I90ish

I agree, the Battery Door needs to be redesigned to something more sleek and attractive, with different colours. If this was done I'd definately buy them in bulk.

just got my extended battery wanted to know if others did order it too. because the cover does not fit very well and the cover is loose. do not know if it's just my bold and my cover... emailed seidio waiting to hear back.

IMHO, it makes the Bold look so ugly. Might as well carry an extra battery.

I'm curious how Seidio has come up with the claimed 15% increase in battery capacity for their 1650mAh standard sized battery, since the original is a 1550mAh battery. Based on my math, this is only a 6.45% increase in capacity.

I've been using the 3500 battery for about 2 days and it has been great. Holding the phone is much better with the added girth. Battery cover has the nice rubber grip feel and I'm finding that I can type easier one handed.
Battery life appears to be very good, but will get better results after several charge cycles. Usually will end up with 45-55% battery usage after a days usage. Now am left with 85-90% after a days usage. Thats with about 30-40 minutes of calls and 1 hr browsing, 200+ emails. I'm using an ATT branded Bold so am stuck on the 3G data setting. Very happy with this battery.

I apologize for any confusion, but rating batteries is not quite that simple. There are many factors that go into how much extra time you'll get out of a battery.

We've had some that fall lower than our expectations and some that come in higher. That is why we list the "up to" percentage.

This battery is designed to be a replacement with a little more power than the original. For some of you, this will be perfect as you'd rather swap the battery mid-day and maintain the Bold's looks. For the rest of you, we're offering the larger capacity version talked about in this thread.

only interested if it fits with the OEM door. 1650 over 1500 is not worth buying however the 3500 is way too big.

Disagree. Try using GPS and Pandora on the weekend. It's awesome. I think this is a super must have accessory. I am using an old slip cover for my 8700 with it from Fortte.

Really I would not have a Bold without this battery and I think it also fits very nicely in the hand with the battery cover. I switch to this battery every Fri night.

I think the large battery is a bit too big. I'd love to see something close to 1850 mAh... I just need a little more juice to make it through the day.

I am a business traveler. The Bold is next to useless without a big battery. The 3500 from Seidio adds less bulk than the version for the Curve, IMO....

Maybe I was just spoiled as my first BB was the 8820, which had a nuclear battery!

To me, getting through an 8 hour day with at least 50% left on the battery is critical - mostly because my days last longer than 8 hours!

The biggest issue to me is that all you can use with this thing is a holster... I wish that they made a larger case that was fitted with this battery.

If the size of these batteries is such an issue, why not just buy more than one regular battery and swap out as needed? Get four regular batteries, not counting the one that came with the Bold.
