is the blackberry curve 9300 able to get the new OS 7? if so where do i get it? i dident find an update button on the blackberry site.

No. Only devices released with OS7 will get OS7.

back in the days when OS 7 went under the name OS 6.1 there was talk of an OS 6.1 lite. Indeed there was some RIM literature showing a touch curve saying that it would have OS 6.1 lite.

It was also said that the most recent devices prior to this launch of new devices, like the 9780, would possibly get this. More than likely the 9300 etc wouldn't

However along with the renaming perhaps plans for a lite version have been scrapped.
