I'm doing an excel spreadsheet to compare what it would cost me for voice & bb service from different service providers. When I go to the Tmo site it doesn't give me the option of adding text messaging. Does anyone know if their blackberry service includes unlimited text?

It doesn't. There may be some "Minutes & Mail" plans that include text messaging, but text messaging is not included in the Blackberry unlimited plan.

All T-Mobile BlackBerry plans include 300 messages. To get unlimited messages, I got the Unlimited Messaging package for $14.99 ($9.99 if on a Family Plan).

Whoops...my mistake. Thought they were all separate, but I must have just been thinking of the Unlimited version of the text plans. Thanks for the correction.

I'm not sure that is entirely correct. My understanding is that BlackBerry add-on plan (e.g., the $19.99 unlimited email and web browsing) does not include any free text messages. You have to get another option for that ($4.99 for 400, etc).

I do have T-Mobile. I do have unlimited text messages and I just have the blackberry unlimited add-on. I was sure to clarify this with customer service. If you look on their website, if you do JUST a blackberry plan with e-mail then it does not include text messages. If you have the addon then it does include it. Check the website out. Under "Plans" click on "blackberry plans" and you see the mins and mail plan. That does include text messages.

I don't have the Add On. I have the $29.99 BlackBerry Unlimited BIS plan which does include 300 messages. The Unlimited Messaging package I have is $14.99.

ok i just talked with t-mobile. This was bugging me. If you have a current plan and then have the "blackberry unlimited add-on" plan...you do NOT get unlimited text messages. The "blackberry mins and mail" plan which has 1000 mins, and then unlimited everything does include text messages. Its sort of wierd. I was paying 58.98 a month for 600 mins, free nights and weekends and the blackberry add-on plan. I just switched to the other one. I now pay 59.99 a month for unlimited text messages and no free nights and weekends but more anytime mins. I hope this clears stuff up for everyone. Even the person on the phone who i talked to was confused at first

I don't have the Minutes and Mail plan. I have the Unlimited BIS plan. Here's a FAQ from the site.

I have an ancient Tmobile BB plan from back when BB access did contain unlimited text at no extra charge Thank good i never opted to take any promotional plans that sounded good for i would now be paying 14.99 for unlimited

If you have BB data plan only (no voice), then the data only BB plan includes 300 txt msgs. BB data-addon plan to any voice plan does not contain txt msgs. If you have a BB data-addon WITH a voice plan, then txt msgs will depend on what the voice plan offers you. Depending on the voice plan or whatever bones they have thrown you, you may have from 0 to unlimited txt msgs depending on what you buy.

I recentlly got a Bb on TMO with the data unlimited (BIS @ 19.99), it did not included any TXT msgs. I had to purchase a txt plan also.

So correction there, unless the teleRep robbed/is robbing me.

Thet BB Unlim Plan on the TMO page is described as BB data only plans, so you eat it on voice calls @ .20c\min unless you get the other BB data plans that included minutes. Its a lil confusing, multiple plan labels to get the same thing

I got the "Invidual Get More" plan, 600 voice mins with 400 txt and unlimited data for $65 a month

but I could've gotten "BB Unlimited Mail and Minutes" plan, 1000 voice mins, 300 txt and unlimited data for for $59.99 a month

Anyway, to clear any confusion here, there is a plan not too many people know about. It includes unlimited text messaging.
